Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
HASSELBACH
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rhein-Neckar Kreis (until 1973 Sinsheim)
Incorporated into : 1973 Sinsheim
Origin/meaning :
The arms were designed and adopted in 1901.
The arms are canting, showing a hazel leaf (Hasel) over a river (Bach). There are no old arms or seals known for the village, which made canting arms a logical design.
Literature : Fütterer, 1960
