Official blazon
English Per fess wavy blue and barry wavy of four white and blue; a seax and a dagger in saltire proper hilts gold surmounted by a torch erect gold inflamed proper.

Origin/meaning

A young gallant from Sir Walter Scott's Marmion. The Torch of learning is superior over both english (seax) and Scots (dagger). The badge was approved in 1947.
