Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 4, 1939.

The arms are based on the seals of two local estate managers from the early 18^th century, Johann Zöpfl and Andreas Kistner. The village was part of the Estate of the castle Hohenburg, who appointed the estate managers until 1848. The village itself therefore never had any seals of its own. The deer is also an appropriate symbol, as there are many forests in the municipality.
