OBERAUDORF

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Rosenheim
Additions : 1971 Niederaudorf

Oberaudo.jpg

Official blazon

In Blau auf goldenem Dreiberg stehend ein flugbereiter, rot bewehrter goldener Falke mit rotem Halsband.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1921.

The falcon in the arms is derived from the arms of the Counts of Falkenberg (who became extinct in 1272), who owned the area from 1180-1248 and thus are the oldest Lords of Oberaudorf.
