Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on May 22, 1978.

Frojach-Katsch is situated at the age-old road along the valley of the river Mur and at another old road through the mountains, over the Sölk pass. People have settled here from Celtic times on (kingdom of Noricum), before the Roman conquest. The main charge is a Noric belt buckle, which was found in the municipality during excavations.
