Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on March 2, 1987.

The green colour refers to the arms of Steiermark as well as to th enature in the municipality. The wheat eras refer to the agricultural character, as well as to the the name Gaisfeld. Feld means field, and Gais comes from Gau, meaning a cultivated area.
