Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 1, 1956.

The pliers are taken from the seal of the Våla hundred, known since 1604. The chief shows three demi-fleur-de-lys, which are taken from the arms of the Tigerhielm family, who had several mansions and possessions in the area, and thus played a major role in the local history and development.
