Un scut triunghiular albastru, cu marginile rotunjite, împărțit în vârf în chevron de aur. În câmpul albastru se află un vas antic de aur flancat de două făclii de aur. În vârful scutului de aur, pe o carte roșie, se află o pâine de aur și o pană de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

The arms were officially granted on August 23, 2018.

The arms refer to the personality of Gheorghe Șincai and to the local variant of Coțofeni type ceramics.

Torches represent the culture promoted by the Enlightenment scholar, as well as the richness of local natural gas resources.

The ceramic vessel reproduces an archeological piece of heritage, discovered on the territory of the commune.

The book is the valuable work of Gheorghe Șincai, and the bread suggests the principle of "bread and book", for which he campaigned, as well as local agricultural products.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
