Raised : 1627 as an Infantry Regiment Converted to Armour in 1942 as The Södermanland Armoured Regiment then with number 3. During 1957-1963 it was transfered back to the Infantry albeit as Armoured Infantry. <br> In 1963 for the last time transfered to the Armoured Troops, this time with number 10 as it has been during the Infantry Days.
