15TH WING STEFANO CAGNA, ITALIAN AIR FORCE

History: Formed on 1 June 1931 as a Bomber Unit in Rome-Ciampino. From the Begining of 1942 active as a Fighter-Bomber Unit. Disbanded in September 1943. Reformed at Rome-Ciampino on 1 October 1965 as Headquarters from all Search and Rescue Units of the Italian Air Force.
