Origin/meaning

The lesser Swedish State Arms with the Chain of the Order of the Seraphim indicates a Guards Unit. The Muskets behind the Shield indicates a Infantry Unit. During the Years 1994-2000 the shown Arms was used by the Life Guards Brigade, the Regiment used similar Arms but with two Swords behind the Shield instead of the Muskets. The Motto was first seen on regimental Colours of 1686 Pattern.
