Brick Red and yellowe are the Colours of the Transportation Corps, The Winged Gyroscope (an instrument used in aircraft maintenance of stabilization and equilibrium) symbolises the Arcraft Maintenace role of the Battalion. The Globe symbolises the worldwide mission and the chevron the supporting role of the Battalion. The Cresecent symbolises service in Tunisia during World War II, and the Spearhead symbolises the Landing in SicilyThe Drop of gold symbolises the former role as a Quartermaster Gasoline Supply Battalion. The Wheel symbolises the Transportation role. The arms were approved on 16 February 1979 and the Distinctive Unit Insignia on 28 May 1981.
