Consolidated (1 Apr 1991) with the 1942 Airways and Air Communications Service (AACS) Squadron, which was designated, and organized, on 18 Jan 1957. Redesignated as: 1942 Communications Squadron on 1 Jul 1961; 1942 Information Systems Squadron on 1 Jul 1984; 1942 Communications Squadron on 1 Nov 1986; 31 Communications Squadron on 30 Apr 1991. Inactivated on 1 Apr 1994. Activated on 1 Apr 1994.
