35 SIGNAL REGIMENT, CANADIAN ARMY

Coat of arms (crest) of the 35 Signal Regiment, Canadian Army

Official blazon

Badge: Vert three piles conjoined Azure fimbriated Or, a base barry wavy Argent and Azure, overall a snow goose displayed proper.
Motto: FORT ET CLAIR.

Origin/meaning

The snow goose, peaks and waves are taken from the badges of the two previous communication regiments that were amalgamated to form the new unit. The snow goose symbolizes the qualities of endurance, fighting spirit, intelligence and sociability of the regiment’s members. The peaks and the waves, representing the Appalachians and the Montmorency and St. Lawrence rivers, allude to Sherbrooke and Beauport, Quebec, where the previous regiments were based. The Badge was approved October 15, 2014.
