Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Silver Gray a lozenge Or bearing a dragon rampant Gules. Attached above the shield a Black tripartite scroll doubled and inscribed "FINANCING THE FIGHT" in Gold.
Origin/meaning
Silver gray and golden yellow are the colors traditionally associated with the Finance Corps. Gold is emblematic of honor and high achievement. The lozenge is adapted from the Finance Corps insignia of branch. The dragon, symbolizing strength and vigilance, is the guardian of the treasure, highlighting the organization's financial mission. The unit's service during World War II is commemorated by the rampant dragon; red represents valor and action.
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia, was both approved on 23 February 1995.
