415TH FLIGHT TEST SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Constituted 25 Reconnaissance Squadron (Heavy) on 28 Jan 1942. Activated on 3 Feb 1942. Redesignated: 415 Bombardment Squadron (Heavy) on 22 Apr 1942; 415 Bombardment Squadron, Heavy on 1 Jul 1943. Inactivated on 3 Jul 1945. Redesignated 415 Bombardment Squadron, Medium on 11 Aug 1958. Activated on 1 Sep 1958. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 1 Jan 1962. Consolidated (1 Oct 1992) with the 6515 Test Squadron, which was designated, and activated, on 10 Mar 1989. Redesignated: 415 Test Squadron on 2 Oct 1992; 415 Flight Test Squadron on 1 Mar 1994. Inactivated on 1 Oct 1994. Redesignated 415 Flight Test Flight on 24 Sep 2001. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Oct 2001.
