Official blazon

Shield: Or, on a chevron enhanced Azure (Cobalt Blue) three benzene rings of the first above a gunstone charged with a mullet throughout Yellow.
Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Army Reserve: on a wreath of the colors Or and Azure the Lexington Minute Man Proper. The Statue of the Lexington Minute Man , Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor), stands on the Common in Lexington. Massachusetts.
Motto: Provide the way.

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A gold color metal an enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a black disc bearing a gold star throughout with three upright elongated blue hexagons edged in gold, all conjoined with their lower points atop the upper three points of the star, all above a scroll bearing the inscription "PROVIDE THE WAY" in black.

Origin/meaning

Cobalt Blue and Golden Yellow, are the Colours used for Chemical Units. The disc represents the military smoke generator symbol, the black simulating smoke. The Disc also represents a Wheel, symbolising the Mobile aspects of the Battalion. The Star symbolises Command and the Benzene Rings are Chemical Symbols.

The arms were approved on 1 May 1997. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 4 March 1968.
