The wings alludes to the Aviation funtion. The Crest symbolises participation in the Vietnam War, the Rice symbolises award of the Republic of Vietnam Civil Action Honor Medal, First Class.
The Palm symbolises award of the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm.
