Origin/meaning

The Provincial Arms of Västerbotten is used as Norrbotten didn't have got any Arms when the Battalion was created in 1957. The Armoured Arms holding swords indicates an Armoured Unit. During 1994-2000 the Arms was used by the Norrbotten Regiment and the Norrbotten Brigade.
