Shield: Azure (Light Blue), in chief and in base a barrulet wavy Argent; between two fusils per quarterly Sable and Or charged with a gunstone, a pale of the fourth bearing a fusil (Crimson) charged with a bomb issuing flames palewise of the fourth.
Crest: From a wreathArgent and Azure (Light Blue) a tower Sable and suspended therefrom by a riband of the second an escutcheon Gules charged with a star of eleven points Or, in base two demi-spears saltirewise Proper.
Motto: Quality Service.
Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of three elongated diamonds palced laterally, the center on crimson bearing a golden flaming fireball and sourmounting two outher diamonds which are divided quarterly black and gold with black pallet in each center; all in front of and extending beyond a disk bearing four concentric wavy rings alternately gold and light blue; in base a gold scroll bearing the inscription "QUALITY SERVICE" in black letters.
Origin/meaning
The three fusils alludes to the three honours awarded for service in Europe during World War II. The Central red Fusil for Central Europe and the others for Rhineland and Occupation of Germany. The Fireball and Gunstones symbolises Ordnance heritage. The quartered Fusils also denotes maintenance support provided by the former 610th Maintenance Battalion.The wavy lines symbolises the steady flow of supplies collected and classified by the Battalion. The Tower indicates service in Central Europe and the Rhineland. The eleven pointed Star alludes to the eleven campaign credits for Vietnam. The Spears signifying combat readiness, represents service in both World War II and Vietnam.
The arms were approved on 12 december 2005. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was originally approved for the 610th Maintenance Battlion on 1 November 1966. It was redesignated with symbolism revised for the 610th Ordnance Battalion on 29 July 1988 and for the 610th Support Battalion on 14 November 2005.
