The Scarlet, Blue and White Colours with the cloverleaf allude to the 38th Infantry Division, of which the Battalion is Part. The White Colour and the shape of the small shield represents the connection with Aviation. The Sword and Key are from the insignia of the Quartermaster Corps and the Flame alludes to the Ordnance Corps. The Eagle and Bat Wings alludes to the Motto.


 
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia, was both approved on 7 June 2002.
