Shield: Per fess Or and Gules (Brick Red) in chief between four torteaux two over two a Lorraine Cross Azure; in base a diesel locomotive of the first.
Crest: That for regiments and separated battalions of the Army Reserve: From a wreath Or and Gules (Brick Red), the Lexington Minute Man Proper, The Statue of the Minute Man, Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor), stands on the common in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Motto: Servitum omnia vincit (Service Conquers All).

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in neight overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per fess Or and Gules (Brick Red) in chief between four torteaux two over two a Lorraine Cross Azure; in base a diesel locomotive of the first. Attached below and behind the sides of the shield a Gold scroll inscribed "SERVITUM OMNIA VINCIT" in black letters.

Origin/meaning

Brick Red and golden yellow are the colours of the Transportation Corps. The division of the shield symbolises the dual mission of the Transportation Corps, supply and service. The locomotive indicates Railway operating the mission of the Battalion. The Lorraine Cross symbolise service in World War I. The four torteaux symbolic of railroad signal lights, commemorate the four battle honours and the Meritorious Unit Commendation awarded the Battalion for service in World War II.

The The arms were approved on 20 October 1960. It was rescinded (cancelled) on 4 December 1964 and reinstated on 19 February 1999. The distinctive Unit insignia was approved on 20 October 1960.
