Shield: Gules (BRick Red) a railroad track in bend Or, between the top of a castle tower with embattlements and an "A" frame of the like.
Crest: From a wreath Or and Gules (Brick Red, a hurst enclosed at base by a vol Argent, overall an arrowhead Or issuing six rays pileways of the third , all surmounted by three mullets in fess Azure.
Motto: Maxima potens (Great Power)

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86) in height overall consisting of a yellow arrowhead surmounting a pair of silver wings conjoined in baes, with blue background arcing above and between the wings bearing six silver rays issuing from above; overall three blue stars horizontally.

Origin/meaning

The Colours Brick Red and Golden Yellow are those of Transportation Units. The Railroad Track symbolises the functions of the Battalion. The Tower symbolises service in the Rhineland during World War II. The A Frame symbolises Transportation service in Korea. The Arrowhead symbolises speed and mobility of Aircraft. The wing symbolises the Aircrafts freedom of the skies. The Stars symbolises participation in World War II, The Korean War and the Vietnam War. The blue disc symbolises the Sky and the rays the six cababilities of a transportation aircraft maintenance and supply battalion.

The Coat of Arms was originally approved for the 765th Transportation Railway Shop Battalion on 29 January 1953. It was rescinded on 14 August 1964. The Coat of Arms was reinstated and redesignated for the 765th Transportation Battalion on 23 April 1997. It was amended to include a crest on 20 August 1997. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 23 June 1966, it was amended to revise the the dscription and symbolism on 25 March 1988.
