The Globe symbolises Worldwide service. The Globe is coloured White and Black indicating Day and Night operations. The Lion represents the Battalion's European heritage and mission focus. The Lion is in the Colours Buff and Red, the colours of Support Units.


The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was both approved on 13 January 2009.
