Arms (crest) of Abbey of Baumburg
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The original arms show a canting castle (burg) on a small hill and a tree rising between the towers. The arms are often used by the abbots in combination with the personal arms, wither under protection of St. Margareth, the patron saint of the abbey, or under the Eye of Providence of the bust of a bishop.

The image above shows the arms from the late 18th century, with a second shield with the symbols of the patron saint.
