Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on January 14, 1994.

The upper half shows the lion of the County of Reuss, to which the village historically belonged. The bar with the blue river is a canting element, for aqua, or water. The base shows the colour of the local stones, which are quarried for many centuries.
