Un scut triunghiular albastru cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat de un brâu undat de argint și de o linie neagră în 3 cartiere. În partea superioară, în dreapta, se află o cruce de aur, iar în stânga se află o cetate argintie. În vârful scutului se află un caduceu argintiu. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu 3 turnuri crenelate.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 29, 2011.
The cross symbolizes the Christian church, and the fortress signifies the Șinteu domain, whose administrative center was the Aleșd fair.
The caduceus is the attribute of the god Mercury, a symbol of trade. The wavy bar represents the Crișul Repede river, which crosses the locality.
The mural crown with 3 crenellated towers means that the town has the status of a city.Literature:
