Province : Tungurahua
Origin/meaning
The background shows the Tungurahua volcano, after which the province is named and which is the highest mountain in the region. The base shows two cornucopia (horns of plenty) symbolising the the richness of the land. The key symbolises the road to the Ecuadorian Jungle (Oriente Ecuatoriano) starting in the city.
