German Halbgeteilt und gespalten; rechts oben in Gold ein roter, silber gewaffneter, wachsender Wolf, unten in Grün ein silberner, schrägrechter Wellenbalken; links dreimal gespalten von Silber und Rot.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 12, 1951.

The wolf in the arms is taken from the State of Passau, as a large part of the area historically belonged to Passau. The wavy bend symbolises the Pram river. The pales are taken from the arms of Oberösterreich.
