AULENDORF

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Ravensburg
Additions : 1972 Blönried, Tannhausen, Zollenreute

Wappen von Aulendorf

Official blazon

Unter einem dreireihig von Rot und Gold mit Teilungen schräglinks gerauteten, vergrößerten Schildhaupt in Gold ein linkshin gewendetes schwarzes Flügelrad.

Origin/meaning

The village was owned by the counts of Königsegg between 1381 and 1629, but was influential until 1848. The arms show in the upper part the arms of this family.

The lower part of the arms shows a train wheel. The wheel symbolises the fact that Aulendorf is an important railway junction in this part of the country.
