Escudo de verde com uma águia estendida de prata armada e bicada de vermelho, acompanhada de um sol de ouro e de uma lua de prata e carregada de um escudo das quinas. Escudo cercado pelo Colar da Ordem de Torre e Espada. Coroa mural de cinco torres de prata. Listel branco com a legenda de vermelho " CIDADE DE AVEIRO ".
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 9, 1960.
