Un scut dotat cu un șevron răsturnat. În partea superioară, pe fond de aur, simbolul fântânii moderne al apelor minerale, de azur; șevronul albastru este încărcat cu cinci arbori dezrădăcinați, de argint. În partea inferioară, pe fond roșu, o carte naturală, deschisă, pe care se suprapune o balanță neagră cu talgerele în echilibru. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint, formată din trei turnuri crenelate.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 30, 1998.
The fountain refers to the mineral waters and indicates that the town is a spa resort.
The tree srefer to fruit growing and the permanent regeneration of nature and society.
The open book and the balance with the balanced plates talk about the Govora Monastery, a historical monument located on the edge of the settlement, as well as about the fact that a lwabook was printed here in the time of Matei Basarab.
