Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat și retezat. În șef, în câmp albastru, se află trei coline verzi, peste care broșează șapte ulcioare răsturnate, din care curge apă. Ulcioarele sunt așezate față în față, câte trei și unul deasupra, toate de argint. În dreapta, în câmp roșu, apare un fronton roman, cu patru coloane, totul de aur. În stânga, în câmp albastru, se află un personaj atletic cu plete și barbă, cu veșmânt drapat, care poartă pe umăr o piele de leu. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu trei turnuri crenelate.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 5, 2005.

The hills represent the mountainous area of the Cerna Valley, and the water jugs refer to the seven springs of Cerna, located a few kilometers from the spa resort of Băile Herculane.

The Roman temple symbolizes the antiquity of the resort used for its thermal waters since Roman times.

The fourth wuarter shows the statue of Hercules, wearing the fur of the Lion from Nemeia, located in the old center of the locality.

The mural crown with three crenellated towers means that the town has the status of a city.
