BAD AIBLING (AIB)
State : Bayern
Incorporated into : 1973 Rosenheim
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 18, 1963.
The chief show the arms of Bayern, as the then counts of Bayern already had possessions in the district in the 13th century. The sword is a symbol for the free imperial estate of the Königshof in Aibling. The stick is the symbol for the Benedict monastery Tegernsee and the Augustiner monastery Beyharting, who both owned large parts in the district. The plant is taken as a symbol of the (formerly) large marshlands in the district.
Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
