BAD GLEICHENBERG

State : Steiermark
District : Südoststeiermark (until 2015 Feldbach)

Wappen von Bad Gleichenberg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 15th, 1969.

Gleichenberg is situated at the foot of some hills known as the Gleichenberge (the equal / identical mountains). Its beneficient waters (Bad means spa) have been used since Roman times. Thus, a pitcher of Roman form and a representation of the hills and the fountains were put into the arms.

Gleichenberg is a very idyllic place, a small town with a large park and hotels which in some cases have been here for nearly 200 years.
