Selected collector's items from Germany:

BAD SALZSCHLIRF

State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Fulda

Wappen von Bad Salzschlirf

Official blazon

(de)

Origin/meaning

The arms were designed in 1925, but officially granted in 1948.

The arms show the different aspects of the local economy; until the late 19th century the town had a mainly agricultural character, symbolised by the plough iron. Nowadays the town is a health resort and spa, which is symbolised by the snake.
