Official blazon

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a white embroidered disc 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in diameter overall, a brick red, fire breathing, fork-tailed dragon stepping over the black letters “B” and “E” all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A silver color metal and enamel device 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height overall consisting of a black diamond with concave sides displaying a concentric silver border edged black and bearing a red dragon’s head couped at the neck facing left. Draped within the upper declivities, a maroon scroll turned silver and inscribed “BAMBERG” on the left and “EHRHARDT” on the right in base metal letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Black and red are the school colors. The red raider is the school mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Red and black are the school colors. The red raider is the school mascot. The diamond design decorates the helmet of the school’s football team.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved 24 August 2006.
