Origin/meaning

The arms were never used by the municipality, but designed in 2005.

The boat is a symbol for the ferry over the Weser, which existed for many centuries. The boat also refers to the historical and modern sailing boats that anchor in or near the village.

The wavy division line refers to the Weser, the oak branches to the many oak trees on the banks of the river. The green refers to the green banks of the river.
