Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 15, 1973.

The golden field indicates the wealth of the city. The bull's head stands for strength and cattle breeding. The wavy bar symbolises the Aguapeí river in the city.

The motto, 'Nescit timorem', means 'Knows no fear'.

The shield is surrounded by cotton and coffee branches, the main agricultural crops in the area.
