Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a black disc with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, three inches (7.62 cm) in diameter overall, a white rolled scroll in saltire with a white sword superimposed by a yellow tiger head detailed white and black with a red mouth, all between the inscription “BENTON” above and “HARBOR” below in yellow letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Origin/meaning

The device reflects the school colors. The tiger reflects the character of the students and aggressive attitude in scholastic and military achievements as depicted by the scroll and sword.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved 3 May 1988.
