I grønt en oppvoksende sølv bjørkekvist med tre blader.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 5, 1986.The arms are canting, bjørk or birch. The green colour also symbolises the agriculture in the municipality. The three leaves symbolise the three villages in the municipality : Birkenes, Herefoss and Vegusdal.
