Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 18, 1991.

The lions in the upper half are those of the Lannoy-Clervaux family, Lords of Trembleur from 1675 until the end of the 18th century.
The eargle and tree ar ethe arms of the Méan family, Lords of Saive and appear on a seal of the village from 1730.
The castle is taken from the arms of the County Dalhem to which most of the area historically belonged.

The miner's tools and lamp in the base refer to the (former) importance of mining in the area.
