Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 20, 2016.

The wavy bend represents the Moldova river. Wheat ears symbolize the basic occupation of the inhabitants, agriculture, and their number indicates the number of component villages of the commune. The wheat ears were also found in the old seal of the commune from 1883.

The basket refers to the name of the locality, which comes from the occupation of the inhabitants of making the baskets, which they sold.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
