BORNHEIM
State : Hessen
Incorporated into: 1877 Frankfurt am Main
German | In Schwarz eine silberne Wolfsangel. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms are based on the seals of the village known from 1621, 1742 and 1781. The so called wolf-hook is a typical symbol used often as a village sign in the Southern half of Germany. It is also known from the borderstones of Bornheim from the 17th century.
