Département : Mayenne

Blason de Boulay-les-Ifs/Arms (crest) of Boulay-les-Ifs
Official blazon
French D'argent à trois fasces de sable chargées de six roses d'or, trois sur la première, deux sur la seconde et une sur la troisième.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on September 17, 1999.

The silver shield with black bars symbolizes the birch tree that gave the village its name; they are also the arms of the Tragin family who owned the village from 1577 to 1798.

The roses indicate that the Virgin Mary is the patron saint of the village. Each of these roses represents the principal hamlets and villages of Boulay which are Gué, Perron, Garenne, Courgalin, Galasière and La Rivière.
