Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat. În șef, în câmp argintiu, se află un stejar dezrădăcinat cu frunze și ghinde, de culoare verde. În partea inferioară, câmpul central albastru este partiționat în vârf de țeapă cu un câmp verde. În câmp albastru, în dreapta sus, se află un cuc stând pe o creangă, văzut din profil, cu un clopoțel la gât, totul de aur, iar în stânga sus, se află o carte deschisă de aur, inscripționată cu negru. În vârful de țeapă, se află plasată o biserică, privită din față. Biserica are o intrare centrală dreptunghiulară, străjuită de două coloane, deasupra cărora se află un portic cu trei ape vizibile. În dreapta și stânga intrării în biserică se află câte o fereastră dreptunghiulară, cu trei ochiuri pătrate, plasate pe verticală. Acoperișul bisericii este în două ape, surmontat de trei turle hexagonale, cu câte o cupolă rotundă, surmontate fiecare de câte o cruce. În centrul acoperișului, între turle, se află o cruce. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 16, 2014.

The oak refers to the etymology of the name of the locality "braniște" and to the tradition in forestry, Brănești Forestry High School being the first high school of forestry in Romania.

The church with three towers represents the hermitage of nuns dating from 1813 on the Pasărea estate of the steward Grigore Asan, being built by Archimandrite Timothy and rebuilt, in 1847, by Archimandrite Calinic.

The cuckoo symbolizes the most important popular artistic event "Cuckoo's Day" and refers to the legend of the local Monastery.

The book represents the fact that Brănești is a "pre-university campus", the only commune in the country with 4 high schools, where the headquarters of the County House of the Teaching Staff are located.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
