The arms were officially granted on ?

The village was founded by the Cistercian Abbey in Trebnitz. This is reflected by the car, which is derived from the chequy bend of the Cistercian Order. The tree is a canting beech (Buche). The chief with the scythe symbolises the agricultural character of the village.
