Selected collector's items from Germany:

BUHLA

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Eichsfeld

Wappen von Buhla

Official blazon

  • (de) In Gold, geteilt durch eine rote Zinnenleiste, oben ein wachsender schwarzer springender Hirsch; unten fünf (3:2) grüne Papageien.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 12, 1994.

The red bar refers to the prehistoric fortification, the Hasenburg, in the municipality, a major archaeological site in the region. The deer refers to the rich forests. The five green parrots are taken from the arms of the Lords von Berlepsch, who played a major role in the local history.
