Portuguese Escudo de vermelho, uma torre de prata, aberta, frestada e lavrada de negro, entre dois pés de milho de ouro; em chefe, um pão de ló do mesmo. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : " BURGO “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 19, 2000.

The arms show in the upper part a sponge cake, a typical sweet dish from the area.

The corn stalks symbolise the agricultural character of the municipality. The tower symbolises the medieval tower in Lourosa de Campos.
