Wappen von Burtenbach/Arms (crest) of Burtenbach
Official blazon
German

In Rot zwei schräg gekreuzte silberne Schlüssel, denen eine aufrechte, bewurzelte goldene Lilie unterlegt ist.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 22, 1929.

The arms are identical to the arms of the Schertlin family, who ruled the town from 1532-1835. The family arms, however changed already in 1534, and thus the arms only refer to the time the family acquired the town.
